Time for me to ask for help... please read!

I'm not asking for handouts. I cannot bring myself to do that. What I am asking is that everyone please check out my online shop at roguedecadence.etsy.com and do some holiday shopping from there. I know money is tight all around, and that everyone has something going on to make life not as easy as is should be (trust me, I know) but with the holidays approaching most of us are buying gifts anyway... and where better than from an artist you know (even if it is knowing me just from online). And if you live in the area you will be supporting a local artist plus saving on shipping (will be able to meet you somewhere instead of bugging the post office).

Also, to make it a bit easier, I marked down the prices on all of the items I have for sell, even on the shipping. You can save 50% or more on currently posted items by acting now and all items include a free gift! Please read my shop info!

I am still taking special orders, and have a paypal account set up for those who'd rather pay in that manner (with my email strange_decadence.yahoo.com) or who might really want to just give a donation to me (never hurts to ask, right). I can also alter the existing items, and am working on making more (like my hand made laundry soap) to post.

Another project I have been working on is reconstructing T-shirts. I've done a few for myself, and would love to do some for you. At this time the T would have to be provided, so if you have one you can't bare to part with but never wear because maybe it just doesn't fit right or something like that it would be perfect for the job. I would also love any T's you no longer want to make into something more useful, that I could sell or donate.

I do have a couple of other items I will have up for sale soon, to go along with the asian teapot and cups set that I still have (make an offer, and it is most likely yours...).

Please, at least pass this info on! You can sign up with etsy (totally free, plus it's a great site full of many handcrafted, vintage, and supply items) and set your faves easily. You make make an Etsy mini (like I put on my profile on MySpace and in some bulletins) and make them of your faves (like, say, the items in my shop maybe) and post them on your sites or in a bulletin or whatever. You can even just pass on my shop's web address, even linking it on Facebook.

Carli is the newest member of our family (pics coming soon). She is a min pin-pappilon mix (mostly black with some dark brown mixed in, except for on her chest and toes where she is white) and she seems to have gone through a false preganancy (having symptoms of being pregnant, in her case lactating, while not actually being pregnant - she can't be, she's never "done the deed"). I was worried for a bit, but she's all better now.

Kalifornia is doing really well. She seems to not be so afraid of things anymore, and has been even more loving. Plus she loves her new sister, Carli.

If you don't buy something from my shop, please consider buying from another private seller instead of those big companies that really make more than enough in sales but spend so much on their own junk they make it look like they don't.

too much to post about

I have to make this quick, my head is killing me again.

I've had a lot of problems come up in my personal life that are keeping me from blogging here. One of them is that I just can't think clearly. The doctor said I am not having migraines but tension headaches (and other stress related problems). I'm taking a leave from work, hoping that helps. The medicine makes me feel like crap, but I'm trying.

I'm not sure when I will post again. If anyone would like to help (all income is pretty much going to this doctor stuff) please visit my etsy shop (www.roguedecadence.etsy.com). I am taking special orders, but can't promise the ability to make them (but would love to have something I have to do, a project to hopefully kick start my engines so to speak). Miss everyone! Been gone from Vox for awhile but as of today I am going to make an effort to be on here. Hope everyone will welcome me back. .

2 months posts in one/ My new shoes and clothesline

I finally got my Tom's shoes in! I'm so happy with them. At first I was afraid they were a bit too snug, but they seemed fit just right now.

I bought 2 pair, only have a pic of one pair right now though.

These are the black with pink plaid VEGAN ones. Sadly, not all of Tom's Shoes are vegan, but this and my other pair are (as are all the wrap boots). I checked the site, but it seems they are out of the ones I got. The other pair are the Village something or other ones, also vegan. I'm so terrible at remembering names and titles. Hopefully I will get some pics of those soon.

I have worn these shoes with everything, from jeans to shorts to skirts to just taking Kalifornia out for potty time.

For those who aren't familiar, every time you buy a pair of shoes from Tom's they give a pair to a child who doesn't have shoes. Can you imagine having to go through life without shoes? No pedi could fix that paid.... Check out www.tomsshoes.com. There is even a vid of them delivering shoes!

My next amazing purchase recently was my tripod portable dryer/clothesline. It's one of the umbrella style ones (always loved those) and is on a fold up tripod so I can put it away safely when not in use. It is perfect for renters or campers or those who just don't want a clothesline up 24/7.

This second picture is of it in it's current state, in my spare room holding clothing. I'm not too fond of the idea of leaving it out while I am at work, and with the rain I've had no chance to get good sun... and clothing needs to be dryed... so instead of using my dryer I just set it up in my spare room (currently holding junk) and it works great. I do leave the ceiling fan on to help with circulating the air.

I'm cutting back on purchases, tend to put almost half of what's in my buggy back before hitting the register (playing the do I really need this game before getting there helps so much), using cloth napkins and rags instead of paper towels, keeping my reusable shopping bags in my car (up to over 20 now), STILL AM VEGAN, and so much more...

It may seem like a lot, but once you get the hang of it all you never know how you lived any different...

Oh, and on a more personal note...

This is Marli. She is Jeff's new puppy... and yes, we are now able to be friends. It's pretty cool, and I'm sure he digs that I (or sometimes my mom) am willing to puppy sit her.

Her and Kalifornia are so different. They love to rough play together, but stop when it gets to be too much and I have to yell at them. While Kali is so shy and scared of everything, Marli isn't scared of anything and can't stand to be in a room without you in it. It's so sweet to have them both here, but can get on my nerves. It helps to keep me from adopting another pup, something I just couldn't handle right now.

I also finally added new items to my Etsy shop!!! Sorry, the amethyst in the green necklace (necklace only, bracelet is still up for grabs) is taken!
